Why VR Training
Why VR training outperforms the classroom and the screen
Classroom sessions and safety videos have their place, but they ask people to remember what they have been told rather than practise what they need to do. Virtual reality closes that gap. By putting trainees inside a realistic scenario and letting them make decisions — and mistakes — in complete safety, VR turns passive learning into genuine muscle memory.
The evidence is hard to argue with. Independent studies have shown learners completing training several times faster in VR, retaining far more of what they learn, and performing tasks more quickly and accurately afterwards. For an HSE Director or Training Manager, that means shorter onboarding, stronger compliance and, above all, fewer people getting hurt.
Just as valuable is what you can measure. Every session generates data on competency and confidence, so you can see who is ready, who needs more practice, and where your risks lie — evidence you can take straight to the board.
